A Tough Way to End a Career...

Geoff's college basketball career ended this past week with a loss in the Elite 8 of the National Tournament. It was a a hard way to end such an awesome season. This year was more then we could have asked for. We came back to Salt Lake so Geoff could play at Westminster, and the first few months both of us just kept asking ourselves, "What did we do?" The first few weeks of school and basketball were different then the past three years and Geoff was nervous he wouldn't fit in with this style of play and with a team that was already developed. Needless to say this team and year were so much fun. The guys on this team were so supportive and welcoming of Geoff. We really couldn't have asked for anything better.

Westminster finished the season 30-5 with a lot of "firsts." They won the regular season conference championship and the conference tournament. They went into the National Tournament as a six seed and won their first 2 two games against Biola and Cumberlands before losing to Columbia. Geoff was named Conference MVP, Newcomer of the Year, First Team All-American, NAIA Player of the Year, and NABC NAIA Player of the year. He'll be the first to tell you that he couldn't have done this without his coaches and teammates - which is true! It's been a fun year to watch. Congrats Geoff on all of your hard work - you deserve everything you get!
